Cocoon
Cocoon was started in 1999 by Stefano Mazzocchi to serve as a simple servlet for XSL styling incorporated to XML. Subsequently, it was rewritten to improve performance and scalability and serve more than just a XSL transformation. Basic web application development can be undertaken with Apache Cocoon.
The features provided by Cocoon include:

� Java and XML
� Separation of Concerns or SoC
� Content transformation
� Dynamic multi-channel publishing
� Capable of interoperability with other Java projects like Lucene, Spring, Hibernate, FOP and others
� Collection of data from multiple resources
� Support for JSF and JSP codes
