Web 2.0 has brought a wave of fresh developments & universally alluring codes, bringing newer web applications every day into the virtual realm. Viral marketing, though much maligned is actually the preferred way of publicizing your website, owing to its rapid approach to the masses through multiple media. Depending on the category of your app, check the LIST into which it falls & promote accordingly. For example, social networking websites fall under the WAIT list, which means that they should wait till a fair amount of user base is generated before jumping to publicity. Down loaders or chat applets belong to the WALK list which says that they should focus on marketing. The RUN list comprises of applications which should excessively focus on marketing.
